About me

Hi, I'm Andrii

I'm 37. A man, a Ukrainian, a Gestalt therapist, and an engineering team lead in IT. I live in Kyiv.

As a therapist

Colleagues describe me as a warm and steady therapist. With clients I am supportive and grounded — able to create a space where it is safe to show up with all the different parts of yourself. At the same time I can be direct, brave, and resilient to whatever a client brings: I don’t avoid difficult moments and I’m not afraid to show my own vulnerability. I have enough inner capacity to work with heavy experiences and complex emotions.

I am careful and unhurried — but I won’t let you stay stuck in place. I know how to support and accompany, to be present and attentive.

As a person

In life I am first of all a living person, with my own difficulties, strengths and weaknesses. I keep learning to be friends with my vulnerability and imperfection — which helps me accept and respect my clients exactly as they are.

I carry a deep curiosity about life and my path in it — and the same sincere curiosity about people and their inner world, both around me and in the therapy room.

I’ve worked as a developer and a manager in an IT company. I practice yoga for my mind and body, and I love tea ceremonies and Eastern philosophies.

Credentials

Certified Gestalt therapist and clinical psychologist, in practice since 2023. Specialized in group work; currently training in couple therapy. I work under regular supervision and have been in personal therapy for over 8 years.

What clients often bring

  • Understanding your authenticity, needs and values; accepting yourself, your desires and limits
  • Difficulties building or keeping relationships; the balance of closeness and autonomy
  • Self-worth and self-esteem; self-realization; personal boundaries
  • Being seen: exploring shame and the “shadow” parts of yourself
  • Finding your path, your meaning, your identities
  • Personal or relationship crises — “I want it differently but don’t know how”
  • Anxiety and depressive states, social anxiety, overload and burnout
  • Traumatic experience, bullying, violence
  • Your relationship with aggression — your own and others’; guilt and shame around it
  • Exploring and shaping male identity

If you don't see your request here — write to me anyway. If I can't help, I will recommend colleagues who can.

I don’t work with chemical addictions or with children (in some cases I work with teenagers from 16).

If this text resonates with you, I warmly invite you to a consultation or to therapy. I’ll help you stay alive to yourself — to understand who you are and what you feel. In sessions we will get angry, rejoice, grieve, live through fear, doubt and wonder. Always with respect for your pace and your state.

I also work with couples — right now I have one reduced-fee slot for a couple.

I work in person in Kyiv and online.
